Racing Engineering's Javier Villa takes another victory in Albacete!

After his first victory in Valencia, Javier Villa celebrated another impressive victory at the Albacete circuit. The 12 points for this win allows Javier to take over the lead in the drivers championship standings. Sebastian Vettel, in Racing Engineering's car number 3, accompanied his teammate onto the podium, finishing the race in 3rd.

Javier Villa, who started the race from pole position, continued his outstanding form during Sunday's race. Leading the field into the first corner, Javier Villa set a very high pace and marked the fastest lap time of the race with a 1'25.886. Javier celebrated a glorious start to finish victory, leaving Perez Aicart more than 10 rseconds behind him. Ricardo Risatti started the race from 3 d position and fell back into 7th position at the start. Ricardo was able to make up one position and finish the race in 6th place. Sebastian Vettel, who started the race behind his teammates in 5th position on the grid, kept his position at the start and overtook Soucek in lap 11. Sebastian moved up again, when Barba retired from the race and finished in d 3rd position with a only 0.4 second gap to Perez Aicart in 2n .

Marcos Martinez started the race from third position in his category, but was pushed off the track with only four laps to go and could not finish the race. With this thincident close the end of the race, Marcos was classified as 16.

Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon announced, "Javi was untouchable today. Amazing, how quickly he pulled away from the rest of the field. After taking the pole with such a difference, today he just didn't have any opponents to race against. Sebastian also did a very good job today. Racing for the first time in Albacete and against such an experienced field of drivers, he made it onto the podium finishing 3rd. Thanks to the great job that these two drivers did, along with everyone else in the team, Javi is able to take over the lead of the drivers championship and we, as a team, are also leading the team championship."
