RENGER VAN DER ZANDE CHALLENGER AT THE MASTERS
Renger van der Zande, native Dutchman, is one of the new generation talents in International Racing. With podiums in International Karting, a Championship in Formula Renault 2.0 , many podiums and wins in International Formula 3, experience in A1 GP, World Series, GP2 and DTM he demonstrated his upward potential in only 5 years of Motorsport.
Renger now is 23 years old and facing the next stage as a professional driver. With the support of Mercedes Benz Motorsport, being a member of their junior program , Renger has a steady moral backbone in his fight towards the top of Motorsport.
Within three years Renger wants to be considered one of the leading professional top drivers in Europe, based on a wide range of competences. He aims for achieving the highest level of Racing quality, as well as the quality to be a perfect ambassador for corporate business organisations and for media and entertainment.
Renger as a sportsman
Physical training is the competitive edge in the success of Renger. With the corporate SportMedizin program of Mercedes, the coaching of the sports physics department of Nijmegen Radboud University and the support of Ted Troost, leading professional in Haptonomy, Renger has a full sports program. In every Racing class he started he demonstrated extraordinary physical quality.
Back on track
After 4 years of International karting and five years in Formula Renault, Formula 3, A1GP, and testing World Series, GP2 and DTM, Renger was ready for the next step in Formula Racing. Due to economic recession a Gp2 2009 project fell down. With the help of Mercedes Renger was introduced in the British Formula 3 Championship to Hitech Racing. It opened up the opportunity to build experience on British racetracks. The "Dutch treat" he gave at Silverstone, by winning his first race with his new team, was a dream debut last month. Meanwhile Renger appears to be a frontrunner in this class with podiums, poles and fastes laps. The Masters of Formula 3 seems to be an excellent chance for the Flying Dutchman to demonstrate his race pace.
