The Van Amersfoort Racing driver will have his F3 teammate Alessio Lorandi for the 2015 race taking place during the weekend of September 18-20.

"I’m quite excited to be taking part in such a historic event," Maini told Motorsport.com.

"The race has seen the likes of Lewis Hamilton, David Coulthard, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, late Jules Bianchi and Max Verstappen stand on the top step of the podium, I’m hoping I can bring home a good result and join the list of greats."

Maini admitted having a difficult F3 season and sits ninth in the rookie championship while 18th in the main drivers' championship.

The Masters of F3 is an international meeting between drivers from various national championships across Europe. Last year's race was won by current F1 driver Verstappen after starting from pole.

With limited testing, an additional event means good track time for young racers. "At this stage, I think any seat time in the car will be good for me, especially considering the limited amount of testing we have," the Indian said.

"I’m looking forward to returning to Zandvoort, which has been one of my favorite circuits this year," he concluded.
