Japanese driver Yu Kanamaru has once more been handed a late call-up to Carlin's Macau Grand Prix line-up, replacing George Russell for the 2015 edition.
Kanamaru, 21, joined Carlin for the 2014 race after Jake Dennis gave up his spot on the entry list.
He ended the qualifying race in 13th, but was ruled out of the main event on lap one as his car got launched onto the tyre barriers amidst early carnage.
In 2015, Kanamaru finished third in Euroformula Open and enjoyed a number of solid outings in Formula Renault 3.5.
He is the fourth Japanese entrant for this year's Macau Grand Prix, joining Japanese F3 runners Kenta Yamashita, Mitsunori Takaboshi and Yuhi Sekiguchi.
Russell's Macau exit could mean that he will move on from Carlin in 2016, having finished a reputable sixth in his rookie European F3 campaign this year.
