Jarvis Holds Second in All Japan F3 Championship

London, England (June 11, 2007) - A1 Team Great Britain's Oliver Jarvis was again in action at the weekend, 9th-10th June, racing his TOM'S Toyota Dallara in Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2007 All-Japan F3 Championship.

With the series moving to the Okayama International Circuit, the 23-year-old from Cambridgeshire picked up his sixth podium finish of the season with a second place effort in Round 7 on Saturday before scoring a fifth place finish in Round 8 on Sunday.

Jarvis, who boasts eight straight top-five finishes in Japan this year, held on to his second place standing in the title battle, the former British Formula Renault Champion and A1GP race winner trailing series leader Roberto Streit by just one point approaching half-distance (115-114).

Saturday's 18-lap seventh round was won by Japan's Hiroaki Ishiura with Jarvis second and Koudai Tukagoshi in third. Tukagoshi proved to be a consistent force over the weekend, the Japanese racer celebrating victory the following day after 25 laps with Jarvis finishing off the podium in fifth.

The famous Suzuka Circuit, formerly the home of the Japanese Grand Prix, hosts Rounds 7 and 8 of the All-Japan F3 Championship, 7th-8th July. Oliver scored a double podium when the series visited the track back in April for Rounds 3 and 4; the TOM'S driver collecting second and third place finishes respectively.
