ANOTHER DOUBLE VICTORY FOR BORTOLOTTI AT VARANO

The positive moment of Mirko Bortolotti continues at Varano de'Melegari too, in the fifth round of the Italian Formula 3 2008 championship. The driver from Trento ruled both races after getting the pole position on Saturday. The fastest lap in race two awarded him an additional point valid for the classification whereby he is firmly at the lead 19 points clear his direct rival Edoardo Piscopo (Team Ghinzani).

The two other drivers of the Team experienced a difficult weekend instead due to their not perfect physical conditions. Francesco Castellacci, after the fifth place in race one, has been victim of an off track exit in the second manche, while Giovanni Nava concluded with a seventh and ninth place.

Gabriele Lucidi (Team Manager):

"We worked very well during the summer break. A slow circuit like Varano could have been insidious for us but we managed to be competitive in this occasion too. The classification advantage of Bortolotti is now more consistent but there are still too many points to be assigned to start making any calculations.

"It has been a shame for the troubled weekend that Nava and Castellacci lived: they did not feel very well and it was difficult to do better than that."
