Berlin/Zandvoort (rol/ot) Jubilations in the pit lane at the finish line, jubilations when the car was stabled at the Parc fermé, Jubilations at the award ceremony at Zandvoort: The German Team Mücke Motorsport from Berlin had a very good reason to celebrate on Sunday afternoon and evening (14th of August), because their driver Felix Rosenqvist won the „RTL GP Masters of Formula 3“ on the 4,307 Kilometer long track in the Dutch North Sea dunes and had the fastest lap time as well. The 20 year old Swede accomplished that with a big gap to the German Marco Wittmann and the Dane Kevin Magnussen. On the ungrateful fourth position there was his team colleague Nigel Melker at his home race in the Netherlands. The Brasil Lucas Foresti (on track in the Dallara-Mercedes like Melker and Rosenqvist), who usually drives at the British F3-Championship and who had a guest performance at Zandvoort for Mücke Motorsport, finished on position eight.

„To win the Masters at Zandvoort is about the biggest and greatest thing to achieve for a team and a driver at the Formula 3“, team principal Peter Mücke told happily after the second Masters success at Zandvoort for his racing stable. The first time was with the former Mücke driver Christian Klien (Austria) in 2003, where Mücke Motorsport was awarded being the best organized team. „Felix did not make any mistakes, showed a blameless performance and won with a big gap to the second. Everybody of our team is exuberantly happy. And Nigel could have been at the front of the field as well, but because of nearly impossible chances to overtake he was stuck behind Magnussen“, told Peter Mücke, who sent his whole team to celebrate the victory at Zandvoort right before he had to fly back to Berlin on Sunday evening.

„That is just unbelievable. A big dream for me came true, where my Team Mücke Motorsport has a big stake in“, Felix Rosenqvist jubilated, who is on track for the racing stable from the German capital city in the Formula 3 Series since this year, after his first and so far most important victory at the Formula 3. And Peter Mücke commended the mechanics and racing engineers of his team. „After a bad crash of Felix at the free practice these guys fixed the car right before the qualifying, so Felix could start at all.“

And at the Qualifying the young Swede got starting position three behind the Spanish Roberto Merhi and Daniel Juncadella. In the race the Spanish team colleagues had a crash right after the start and Rosenqvist took the lead and even extended it until the end of the race. And with this victory he activated the jubilations for himself and his team Mücke Motorsport in the North Sea dunes.
