The Wraps come off Tim's 2005 Racing Campaign.
ADELAIDE (Friday, Feb 18th 2005.) Tim Slade today officially unveiled the exciting new livery for the team BRM Dallara he hopes will take him to the prestigious Gold Star title in the 2005-racing season.
Held at the Sporting Car Club of South Australia's Mawson House clubrooms in the heart of Adelaide, the launch of Slade's season comes a day after he jumped back into a racing car for the first time since his incredible debut performance at Mallala in September last year.
The car launched today - featuring a striking new blue colour scheme complete with flames - was unveiled after a luncheon which included a motorsport memorabilia auction and attendance of Tim's major sponsors and supporters for the season.
Slade said that he was excited to have the car officially unveiled, and that he was looking forward to the year ahead.
"Its great to have the wraps off on our 2005 livery and car and being able to show it off to our supporters here today." enthused Slade. "Having the car launched here in front of our sponsors and corporate guests, really shows that we are set to have a fantastic year ahead in the Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 championship.
"The car looks fantastic, and I am fortunate to be working with a great team like Team BRM. It's also great to have James Rosenberg and Gawler Farm Machinery involved as my car owner. They have been one of our major supporters and have allowed us to get this happing"
Tim's manager Terry Little said that today showed the fantastic support Tim is beginning to generate.
"Support for Tim has been growing over the last couple of weeks, and we have had some great support from many heavyweights from within the motorsport industry." He said. "People like John Bowe, Brad Jones and the entire BJR team have been great. Ian Luff, Vern Schuppan and Kevin Bartlett have all also realised that Tim is a special talent and will go a long way in this sport."
Tim's first race with the new car will be at Wakefield Park, near Goulburn, on the 26th and 27th of February.
Images of Tim's car will be available on his website, www.tsrwine.com, shortly.
