FORMULA 3 AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP TO SHINE WITH MEGUIAR'S.
THE 2009 FORMULA 3 AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP was already set to be a stunning battle on and off the circuit - but the off-track battle has suddenly taken a big step-up in importance thanks to the announcement of a new series partner today.
The series has today confirmed Meguiar's as a presenting sponsor of the 'Meguiar's Best Presented' award, to be awarded at each round this year.
The Meguiar's Best Presented Award winner will be the team judged to have taken the biggest step forwards in professionalism and presentation on a round by round basis, and has been designed to continue to give teams and drivers further incentive to lift the level of appearance and professionalism within the championship.
All aspects of presentation -team uniforms, and pit area, fan friendliness and especially vehicle presentation - will be taken into account with the winner at each round receiving a Meguiar's gift pack of an assortment of top quality vehicle care products to maintain the ultimate shine on their cars.
Meguiar's was founded in 1901 as a simple furniture polish laboratory and plant in the garage of founder Frank Maguiar, Jr. The company now spans four generations of family stewardship and follows its founder's dictate of never selling a product until it was the very best of its kind on the market.
In Australia, Meguiar's is distributed by MotorActive Distribution, a wholly Australian owned company with representatives situated in a number of states across the country. MotorActive's extensive knowledge of paintwork optimisation enables them to offer an unbeatable combination of the best car care products and technical support around.
"Meguiar's are thrilled to establish the 'Meguiar's Best Presented Award' with Formula 3 in 2009," said MotorActive General Manager Andrew Spira. "This is a great way of extending our passion for vehicle appearance into the motor racing arena and we look forward to encouraging team rivalry on the shine as well as the finish line."
Astuti Motorsport boss Sam Astuti said that the new incentive would further spur his team on to making themselves the best looking operation in pit lane.
"Astuti Motorsport has always made sure that we are well presented, so to have Meguiar's join the championship for 2009 is fantastic news," he said. "We are very confident this year that in Mathew Sofi we have an outright contender for the Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship, but now we are also confident that our plans for this year will see us be a contender for the Meguiar's Best Presented Award at round one as well.
"My crew will be very keen to get hold of some of that fantastic Meguiar's product to clean the cars between sessions and make them shine again!"
