Albacete, 19 February 2002 The Dallara Nissan V6 3000 has completed a very successful shakedown at the Circuit of Albacete (Spain) braking the Lap Record of the track.

The 25-year-old Brazilian Formula One driver, Ricardo Zonta was on duty during the whole day, while the Spaniard Antonio Garcia, former winner of the Open Telefonica Series in 2000, completed a few laps yesterday.

Zonta has lapped 1.17.8 (163.76 km/h) at a maximum speed of 242 km/h. During this two days the car has completed a total of 109 laps.

"This is my very first drive in 6 months -- I feel so happy. The car has great potential. There are a few aspects to work with, like the suspensions, but we did a lot of work already, testing tyres and driving under race set up conditions. It is a very fast car! The balance must be positive."
