Ricardo Zonta and Tuka Rocha enter the World Series by Nissan.
11 drivers have been already confirmed in the World Series.
Barcelona, 10 April 2002 The Spanish team Gabord Competición will make his debut in single-seater competition with two Brazilian champions: Ricardo Zonta and Tuka Rocha. Gabord is rated to be one of the top teams in the Series, with a large experience in different categories such as the GT's.
The 26-year-old Brazilian driver Ricardo Zonta, former F-1 driver with BAR and Jordan, was in charge of the shakedown of the new Dallara Nissan SN01, at the Albacete Circuit (Spain). After the test he felt very interested in taking part: "The car was very fast, modern, and similar to an F-1", affirmed the Brazilian.
Tuka Rocha, who's only 19-years-old, three times Brazilian Go-Kart Champ, was the 2001 F3 South American Light vice-champion , is keen to face this new challenge in his promising career: "I want to learn a lot in my first European year. It's hard to believe that I left Go-Karting in the year 2000, and now I'm about start competing in Europe in a category that is already considered superior than the F-3000."
Both Brazilian drivers will be on duty this weekend for the first collective tests, wich will take place at the Valencia Circuit, on 13-14 April.
11 drivers have been already confirmed in the Series: Antonio García (Adrian Campos Motorsport), Polo Villaamil (Adrian Campos Motorsport), Justin Wilson (Racing Engineering), Franck Montagny (Racing Engineering), Ricardo Zonta (Gabord Competición), Tuka Rocha (Gabord Competición), Ángel Burgueño (Meycom), Víctor Ordoñez (Meycom), Narain Kartikheyan (RC Motorsport), André Couto (Vergani Racing), Félix Porteiro (Vergani Racing)
