Sponsora Sports Marketing Trophy
Renault Sport Technologies won an award at the 6th Sponsora Sports Marketing Awards, held at the Theatre Mogador in Paris on Monday, March 16 and chaired by Michel Desjoyaux, recent winner of the Vendee Globe and Gilles Bertoni, President of Sponsora, for their organization of the World Series by Renault.
Created in 1994, Sponsora, the French Sports Marketing Association, aims to promote, develop and raise the profile of marketing and communication through sport, with companies and public authorities alike.
For the last six years, Sponsora has rewarded the best companies, event organizers, local authorities and public sector institutions involved in sports sponsorship via its Sports Marketing Awards (Trophees Sponsora du Marketing Sportif).
The jury, chaired by Michel Desjoyaux and featuring eleven other experts gathered from all sports, presented Renault Sport Technologies with a Silver Award in the Organizer category, for the organization of the World Series by Renault. An award that acknowledges the work and investment that Renault Sport Technologies has put into creating a unique and innovative concept.
Created in 2005, the World Series by Renault combines top class racing action and popular attractions for all the family. An unmissable event throughout Europe, with over two million spectators in the last four years, the success of the World Series by Renault shows no sign of wavering. Formula 1 may be the star attraction, but with the Renault Heritage parade, attractions for young and old alike, road safety and environment workshops and the exhibition of the Renault Sport range, there is something happening everywhere you turn at the World Series by Renault. And best of all, it's free -- all you need to do is pick up an invitation from any Renault dealership or download one from the website, at www.worldseriesbyrenault.com.
In terms of racing, this year will see action in Spain (two rounds), Belgium, Hungary, the UK, France and Germany in Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and Eurocup Megane Trophy, with the much anticipated launch of New Megane Trophy.
