Dutch female racer Beitske Visser has lost her front-row starting spot for today’s Formula Renault 3.5 Championship round at Spa-Francorchamps.
The AVF driver had produced a sensational late laptime to grab second on the grid, just 0.125s off poleman Matthieu Vaxiviere.
But race stewards have deleted all her laptimes due to the ‘non conformity concerning the flat floor’.
Arden driver Nicholas Latifi has therefore been promoted to the front row alongside Vaxiviere, with Fortec teammates Jazeman Jaafar and Oliver Rowland sharing the second row.
Seventh placed Tio Ellinas also lost his best time and grid position due to setting his fastest lap under yellow flags.
