Zeta Corse experienced a trouble-free Friday in Spielberg, where the F.Renault 3.5 championship is holding the 6th round of the 2013 season. On the track owned by Red Bull the outfit managed by Claudio Corradini sported a new line-up, with Italian young gun Riccardo Agostini alongside talented Brit Will Buller, who had already raced with Zeta Corse in Moscow one month ago.
Boasting a new deep-blue livery, both cars had a positive day of running with no issues at all: Buller and Agostini worked hard together with the team's technical staff to try different setup solution, and the Italian rookie raised a lot of eyebrows in the morning session posting a laptime that was worth P11, just shy of the top ten. In the afternoon it was Buller's turn to impress with a very good P13 achieved using just one set of new tyres, while Agostini closed the session in 23rd place after his two best laptimes were cancelled for not respecting track limits. The team was quite satisfied with the outcome of today's work and is now looking forward to tomorrow morning's qualifying session, scheduled for 8.50 AM.
Will Buller:
"It was my first time on this track with this car, so I'm fine with the outcome of today's running. I struggled a bit in extracting performance from fresh rubber and if you consider that I used just one set of new tyres that P13 isn't that disappointing. I'm confident for tomorrow because we have a good race pace: I'll just need to a strong qualifying performance to secure a starting position that will allow me to make the most of it".
Riccardo Agostini:
“All in all I'm happy with my day, debuting in such a competitive scenario is never easy and in the morning session I was really close to the top ten. In the afternoon I was performing well too, and I managed to make the most of fresh tyres improving my laptimes quite considerably. Unluckily my best laptime was cancelled twice for not respecting track limits, but it was a minor infringement, something I'll learn to avoid with a bit more running".
