Rookies Barnicoat and Isaakyan lead on Day 1 of Aragon test
Formula Renault 2.0 racers Ben Barnicoat and Matevos Isaakyan topped the two respective sessions of the opening day of F3.5 testing at Motorland Aragon.

British racer Barnicoat led the way in the morning session, while Russian Isaakyan clocked in the best time of the day in the afternoon test.
Barnicoat moved into the top spot of the timesheets in the final minutes of the first run, deposing Isaakyan, who was subsequently shuffled down to fifth place.
Dean Stoneman made up a Carlin 1-2, while Kevin Jorg and Louis Deletraz, who were Josef Kaufmann Racing teammates in FR2.0, took third and fourth place.
The afternoon session saw Pons Racing duo Isaakyan and Yu Kanamaru enter the final minutes in the lead.
Red Bull junior Callum Ilott, making his debut in the car, then moved to P2, only to be deposed by fellow Strakka driver Jake Hughes and Jorg.
