Draco Racing is glad to announce the signing of Italian rookie Luca Ghiotto for the team's 2014 World Series by Renault season. Completing the Italian team's line-up, Ghiotto will be driving alongside the already confirmed Pietro Fantin: while the Brazilian will be tackling his second season on the WSR grid, Luca will be at his debut in the renowned one-make series. The Italian youngster comes from a very positive 2013 campaign on the F.Renault 2.0 stage, a season that saw him secure the runner-up spot in the ALPS championship (with 5 wins) and finish 9th in the Eurocup after clinching an amazing win on the challanging Spa-Francorchamps track.

Ghiotto, who will turn 19 on February 24, proved his talent in 2012 as well, finishing runner-up in both the European and the Italian Formula Abarth championships. At the end of last year Luca took the chance to test with Draco for a full day in Alcaniz and his pace and commitment left an impression on the team's staff, making him one of the top candidates for a seat. That impression was confirmed in further talks and the deal signature came as a natural conclusion. This means that everything is in place for the start of the 2014 season, scheduled for April 13 in Monza.

Guto Negrao – Team Principal “Our team is Brazilian, but our headquarters are in Italy and the majority of our staff are Italian. For such reasons, having both nationalities represented in our drivers makes us very proud, and fits perfectly with our team's soul. I am delighted by our line-up: on one side Fantin is ready to make the most of his previous experience in the series, while Ghiotto's programme will be aimed to a steady progression, something we deem essential for a rookie. That's why he's in our plans for 2015 too. Luca managed to surprise us in Alcaniz with an extremely focused and professional approach, something we didn't expect in such a young driver. That's what convinced us that he was the right guy for Draco, and we are really looking forward to the start of the season".
