The shakedown of the new 2-liter single-sitter, designed and built by Dallara specially for this category, was run today Sunday by Mathias Lauda, the son of the former three times Formula One World Champion Niki Lauda. The young Lauda faces his second Season in competition with optimism.

After having shown big progression with the Formula Nissan last year, for this season it is hoped a great performance of this young driver, being considered as a strong contender for the final victory.

All new DALLARA WSL3 - AER 2.0 device, have been developed specifically for the requirements of this mid powered category, whose main aim is to allow young drivers to get as many experience as the can, to grow successfully in the motorsports career pyramid.

The quality that the Italian car manufacturer Dallara has always demonstrated in all its racing products, represents a strong guarantee for RPM Racing.

As a good example of innovation, the 250 hp AER engine is not an evolution of a standard street car, but a new designed specific one to complete the splendid performance of this revolutionary single-sitter, which resists an aerodynamic pressure of about 1000 kilograms.

With a specatucular value for money, its budget per season is cheaper than a Formula 3 one offering a bigger performance. This new reference in the European single-sitter scene offers 180.000 euros as main prize at the end of the season, in order to assure the presence of the World Series Lights champion in the next step of the competition scale.

The Series will made its debut at Albacete, the next 8th of June.

Mathias Lauda:

"You can feel the power all the way through the revs This new single-seater has much more grip now, and of course, the speed in the corners is awesome. Also the sequential gear box is really remarkable, although the powershift is not even fitted yet. Of course there's a lot of things that will be improved in the following tests but Y can tell you now that we are going to enjoy in this new Series."
