Montagny quickest in wet warm-up.

After two days of beautiful sunshine at Jarama, the storm clouds gathered over head and brought a downpour that drenched the track for the warm-up of the Superfund World Series by Nissan.

Conditions were very difficult, with the cars creating huge plumes of water spray that greatly reduced visibility, but that didn't stop Gabord Competition's Franck Montagny from setting the best time in the 30-minute session. The Frenchman, who will start both races from the front row, was a massive 2.4 seconds quicker than the rest of the field

Tata Team Carlin's wet weather specialist Narain Karthikeyan was second fastest ahead of the Epsilon Euskadi team-mates Jean Christophe Ravier and Ander Vilari
