Janosz to make F3.5 debut with RP Motorsport
GP3 regular Artur Janosz will return to his former team RP Motorsport to race in this weekend's Formula V8 3.5 round at Paul Ricard.
Janosz, 23, became runner-up in Euroformula Open with the Italian squad in his only second year of single-seater racing in 2014.
He graduated to GP3 last year and was a regular point-scorer by the end of the season, taking 14th in the standings with a top finish of fifth.
Janosz is continuing his collaboration with Trident in 2016, but failed to score during GP3's season opener at Catalunya.
The Pole will make his first appearance in Formula V8 3.5, replacing race-winner Johnny Cecotto at the RP team.
"I cannot wait to get behind the wheel of the Formula Renault 3.5, a very demanding and extremely fast car, which tests the ability of the drivers," said Janosz.
"Although it will be my first race with this car, I have already worked with the team RP Motorsport. It is certainly a great challenge for me and I will give my best to achieve good results for the team."
Team boss Fabio Pampado added: "It is a pleasure to announce that we will have Artur Janosz for the meeting of Paul Ricard.
"We’ve worked with him before and we know the talent he has. It is an important step in his career, and the whole team is looking forward to working with him again and help him to get the best out of the car and himself."
Janosz will team up with another former Euroformula Open frontrunner, last year's champion Vitor Baptista, for the Paul Ricard weekend.
