Guerrieri hands ISR Racing fourth 2010 win
On the seventh round of the 2010 World Series Renault at Hockenheim, Esteban Guerrieri cruised to hand ISR Racing its fourth victory of the season. The Argentinean, who took the pole spot on the second qualifying session, managed to replicate his wins at Spa-Francorchamps and Brno with a great drive. Despite being caught out by Zampieri at the start, Guerrieri fought back on the first lap, with a sharp move at the hairpin. At that point, he kept controlling the Italian, while the ISR pit crew made a great job into the pits.
Filip Salaquarda had a really positive race too. After qualifying in 19th, the Prague-based driver was up to the top-10 by the end of lap 1, and finished the race in 7th place. With this weekend's results, Guerrieri is back in contention for title, as he stands in third with 85 points behind Aleshin (111) and Ricciardo (101). Two events and four races are still to go before the end of the 2010 Championship, at Silverstone and Barcelona.
Igor Salaquarda - Team Principal
"Having scored four wins in our debut year is really something making me proud, and we didn't even think it would have been possible when we joined the World Series Renault. The credit goes to all our mechanics, engineers and, of course, to our two drivers, Guerrieri and Salaquarda, whose contribution proved to be key in the team's growth. At Hockenheim, Esteban rounded out a sensational weekend, while on race 2 Filip rebounded after the incident caused by Zampieri on race 1. Now we're looking forward to playing our cards until the last lap of the last race."
