Officiated the 7 December 2009 by the French Federation of Automobile Sport (FFSA), Nathanael Berthon has entered into the of rose of French drivers strongest in the world and participated in a week in Chamonix for the mental and physical preparation. Led by veteran Jean Alesi, Berthon were present with Jules Bianchi, Jean-Eric Vergne, Charles and Arthur Pic that, on top of Mont Blanc, have been training and met with the national and international press.
Sunday 24 January Berthon spoke to Radio Monte Carlo with the President of the French Federation Nicolas Deschaux interviewed by the presenter Laurent-Frederic Bole in the transmission dedicated to the engines. "The FFSA reinforces one of its most important vocations which is to help young drivers to climb the ladder of international motorsport," said the President Nicolas Deschaux, "We are pleased to formalize Nathanael who has shown great skill since his debut in motorsport and his talent has not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the fact that he has benn chosen in Formula Renault 3.5 by the champion team. "
Berthon is not exactly a newcomer to the FFSA: "I had already joined the team of France FFSA Karting in 2006 and I had the pleasant surprise of being selected again by the Federation. " Nathaniel smiles, "I don't come from a family with a great culture in motor sports and for me the help of the Federation is very important."
Brilliant driver in the Formula Renault 2.0 (Eurocup and WEC) in 2009 (2 wins, 9 podiums), Nathaniel Berthon participate with the Draco team in 2010 Renault World Series 3.5 and he will have the onerous task of succeeding to the champion.
