Williams' charismatic senior engineer, Rob Smedley and his wife Lucy are hosting a "Sportsman's fund raising evening" for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesborough, which looks after very small children suffering from life threatening conditions.
The fundraiser is taking place in Middlesborough on Saturday night and details of how to attend are below. But fans anywhere in the world are able to bid for the fantastic auction prizes listed below. There are some really nice F1 related items, not just experiences like a factory tour or F1, but also genuine memorabilia.
Rob and Lucy have been patrons of Zoe’s Place for four years. Speaking about the Hospice Rob said: ‘We initially got involved with Zoe’s Place after finding out that it was a struggling charity doing amazing work for poorly babies and children. The hospice is based in the town where I grew up, and Lucy and I decided to see if we could help them. It was their idea to start doing charity dinners and the last event in 2011 was a huge success so we felt the time was right to host another one and help raise awareness of their amazing work”
