Britain's Justin Wilson, fresh from his first season in Formula One, will officially open Autosport International, the world's biggest motorsport show, on Saturday 10th January 2004 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK, at 9am.
Autosport International is counted as the real starting grid of the season, with stars mingling with cars, the latest performance products, state of the art technology, historic cars and memorabilia. Add to this the unique excitement of the British Eurosport Live Action Arena, the unique indoor sideways-sliding, tyre-smoking all-action 50-minute show and there is something for everyone interested in motorsport.
Justin commented: "Having attended the Autosport Show several times in the past I'm delighted to have been asked to open the event to the public in January! The show provides the perfect winter fix for fans eagerly awaiting the start of the new motorsport season. I know how difficult it can be for the public, especially in Formula One, to get close to the action and I think it's great that the Autosport Show allows visitors unrivalled access to a wide variety of drivers and cars from a whole host of categories. I personally can't wait to use the opportunity to meet and thank the fans who have supported me in my first season in Formula One with Minardi and subsequently Jaguar Racing!"
Justin will spend the day at the show, being interviewed on the Autosport Central Stage and meeting thousands of his fans.
More than one million square feet of the NEC will be devoted to the motorsport industry and provides a unique experience for anyone interested in all aspects of the sport.
