Jaguar Racing's Justin Wilson returned to F1 action yesterday for the first time since the Japanese Grand Prix in October, the 25-year-old Brit racking up an impressive 130 tours of the Valencia circuit in Spain. Wilson joined team-mate Mark Webber for the third and final day testing, the first F1 sessions since the post-season ban ended at the start of the week.

Wilson was immediately on the pace, eventually posting his fastest lap time of 1m10.504s towards the end of the day. The British racer was duly pleased with his time back behind the wheel of the Cosworth-powered, Michelin-shod Jaguar Racing R4:

"It went very well from my point of view. My programme was different to Mark's but we've carried out a lot of test work today, both on electronics and endurance runs. I'm pleased to have completed so many laps on my first day back and the team have been fantastic, everything has run according to plan!"
