BAR technical director Geoff Willis is setting his sights high for the 2003 season, aiming for the top three with regular points and podium finishes. It would be a big step forward for the team if it achieved those kind of results, after finishing eighth in the Constructors' standings in 2002 with seven points.

"We want to compete for the top three positions in 2003," Willis said as the new BAR005 was launched in Barcelona today. "Our target is to finish every race -- regularly being in the points and being on the podium as often as we can."

"We are very confident it's going to be a substantially better car and a substantially better package of engine and chassis together. We have set new performance targets when designing the car for weight reduction, stiffness, aerodynamic efficiency and engine performance all aimed at helping us to compete with those at the front of the grid."

Not only has there been changes to the car and the driver line up, the team has seen some reorganization. New staff have been bought in and higher goals set as BAR heads into 2003: "We have made some significant changes to the organisation," said Willis.

"We have been recruiting people and setting much higher targets. We have also driven to properly integrate all the resources we have available to us including those at Honda. We are excited about this season."
