Williams was running solo at Jerez de la Frontera on Tuesday as another week of testing got under way. Mark Webber and Antonio Pizzonia were on duty, the former setting a best time of 1:19.016. Pizzonia was just a couple of hundredths behind with a 1:19.037.

Webber completed 84 laps and Pizzonia 70 as they worked on set up and tyre evaluation. Nick Heidfeld will join the action tomorrow, as his test for Williams has been bought forward now that Anthony Davidson is not testing for the Grove squad.

Meanwhile, Ferrari cancelled its scheduled session at Fiorano yesterday due to fog. The test will recommence with Andrea Bertolini at that track on Wednesday, and Ferrari will also join most of the other teams at Jerez from tomorrow.
