Williams technical director Patrick Head is hoping the Canadian Grand Prix next weekend will produce another result like Monaco, as the team needs more points to catch up with Ferrari and McLaren. Juan Pablo Montoya took victory at Monaco and although Head was pleased, the work never stops.

"It was a very satisfying result," he said. "But in our business you can never stop and have to always start thinking about the next challenge right away. Still Monaco was really a brilliant race. Of course we go to each Grand Prix highly motivated, but this win will be a big boost."

Williams should be equally on the pace at Montreal, Head believes: "We should be competitive in Canada," he added. "I don't see why we shouldn't be and it would be really great to show we can win a second race in a row. We need to score some big points to close the gap to the leaders."

Montoya is also confident for the next race: "Naturally I am approaching Canada on a high," he said. "The Monaco GP weekend was a huge boost for all the BMW WilliamsF1 Team as we managed to be strong and consistent on a particularly difficult track."

"More than the confidence that the win gave me, I believe that the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit should suit our chassis-engine-tyre package. We generally have performed well there in the past."
