Nick Heidfeld joined Mark Webber at the 'Jerez Circuit' as the BMW WilliamsF1 Team continued its final test of the 2004 season. Following yesterday's fog, which held up proceedings for a couple of hours, today's session got underway in bright sunshine, with temperatures reaching 17°C.

BMW WilliamsF1 Team driver Mark Webber, driving the interim WilliamsF1 BMW FW26, continued with set-up work including a number of practice starts in anticipation of the proposed regulation changes for 2005. Unfortunately, the Australian lost track time in the afternoon as a result of an engine change. Mark completed a total of 76 laps, setting a best time of 1:17.445 minutes.

Following his test at Jerez last week, Nick Heidfeld was back in the WilliamsF1 BMW FW26 once again. The German continued to familiarise himself with the car, working mainly on set-ups. Nick carried out a number of long runs as he evaluated tyres with the BMW WilliamsF1 Team's tyre partner, Michelin, completing 126 laps on his way to posting a time of 1:17.522 minutes.

Testing continues tomorrow, with Nick being joined by Antonio Pizzonia. Although the BMW WilliamsF1 Team was scheduled to end its test tomorrow, it has been decided to extend the test for an extra day.
