On the third and final day of testing at Jerez, the BMW WilliamsF1 Team's official test and reserve driver, Antonio Pizzonia, was joined by Nick Heidfeld.

Once again the unpredictable weather conditions compromised the BMW WilliamsF1 Team's planned programme, with strong winds and rain showers lashing the circuit for much of the day. Only in the final half-hour of the session did the rain abate, allowing the drivers a few laps in drier conditions.

On the final day of testing at the Spanish track, Antonio Pizzonia was joined by Nick Heidfeld. Both drivers focussed on set-ups in wet and semi-wet conditions.

Nick completed 96 laps, setting a personal best time of 1:22.490 minutes, while Antonio completed 49 laps, with a best time of 1:23.365 minutes.

This was the final day of testing for the BMW WilliamsF1 Team this week, though the team will be back in action at Jerez from Wednesday 8th December.

Tim Newton (Test Team Manager, WilliamsF1):

"After a rather troublesome test in Barcelona last week, we've made good progress this week in Jerez. Mark, Antonio and Nick all did a good job with the interim cars and, despite some rather inclement weather, all three recorded impressive mileage. On his fist outing with the team, Nick settled in well and gave us some productive feedback."

"Credit must be given to everyone, both at the factory and at the track, who have worked hard over the past week to rectify the teething problems encountered in Barcelona. As a result, we've had a relatively trouble-free, and therefore productive, test."
