Williams may have snatched the lead of the Constructors' championship from Ferrari at the last race but technical director Patrick Head is not complacent about further successes. Williams is undoubtedly looking very competitive at the moment but anything could happen in the last three Grands Prix and Head is wary of predicting the outcome.

"This business has a habit of always providing surprises," he said. "The minute you are most in expectation you are going to do well, something goes wrong -- and the moment you think you are in deep water, something happens to fall in your lap, so it's not a predictable business."

"It's only going to take one thing to cause unreliability and for Juan or Michael to win a race. You never sit there in confidence thinking you're going to win one race, but not another. Equally, I don't think you win championships by strategically looking at your strong and weak races. You look at every one and try to make sure you are going to be as strong as you can at each individual race."

When Williams hits the test track next week, the team will be looking to improve all round on its package ready for the next race at Monza in two weeks time. "We've obviously been planning our Monza set-up because that's the one track that is extremely different in terms of aero set-up, so at the test we will be evaluating the full package," Head explained.

"Unless we can make a significant improvement, then the only place where I'd have to say we could struggle is at Suzuka. Michael seems extremely quick there, while Ferrari were strong at Silverstone which is a track which has certain similarities with Suzuka. So we've got some homework to do before Suzuka, but the testing starts again soon and we'll be looking to put it right."
