Scott Dixon continued testing for the BMW WilliamsF1 Team, as Marc Gené replaced Ralf Schumacher who was forced to withdraw from the final day of testing.

Conditions were mixed for today's final day of testing at the 'Circuit de Catalunya' near Barcelona. After heavy overnight rain the track was damp for much of the morning but gradually dried out until another rain shower hit the track in the afternoon. Temperatures reached 11 °C.

Ralf Schumacher, who was scheduled to run a race simulation, had to pull out after just five laps, the German complaining of back pains. His place was taken by official BMW WilliamsF1 Team test and reserve driver, Marc Gené, who was on stand-by. The Spaniard completed the race simulation that Ralf had begun, completing 105 laps in total and setting a best time of 1:15.937.

Scott Dixon, whose second test with the BMW WilliamsF1 Team came to an end today, concentrated on set-ups for the forthcoming San Marino Grand Prix. The New Zealander completed 64 laps, his best time being a 1:16.613.

From Sunday to Tuesday the BMW WilliamsF1 Team will carry out straight line tests at Vairano, Italy, before heading to Paul Ricard for a further three days of testing.
