What F1 fans are saying about the 2026 Alpine livery

Alpine launched its 2026 Formula 1 challenger at an event on an MSC cruise ship in Barcelona on 23 January. And while the reveal was impressive, the livery has faced criticism for being largely similar to 2025.

The 2026 livery continues with the blue and pink design that fans have become accustomed to, with black and white accents.

"It's the same, but I actually quite like it so I don't mind too much. Maybe that's an unpopular opinion?" one fan commented.

Multiple fans felt the livery was too similar to the 2025 design. "It's the same," one wrote, while another added: "Before vs before".

"The blocking is fine, I just don’t really think the blue and pink looks that great to begin with tbh. IMO it’d be better if they used one for the main colour and the other for detailing or simple lines, the two-tone is just very meh with these specific colours," read another comment.

Amid the criticism, others argued that the 2025 livery was so good it didn't need changing. "Honestly, I’m happy they kept the livery, it’s far and away the best they’ve had so far in the Alpine and BWT era. The metallic blue is so slick, the BWT logo in hot pink pops so much more than the old blue on pale pink look," they said.

Another called out those complaining, writing: "I swear people complain about cars not being colourful enough and then simultaneously complain about this."

The teams, apart from Williams, will take part in private testing next week ahead of two further testing blocks on 11-13 February and 18-20 February. The 2026 F1 season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix on 6-8 March.
