Australian Mark Webber is satisfied that Minardi at least qualified ahead of Jaguar at the Monaco Grand Prix, despite having a much smaller budget. Webber was the only one of this year's rookies to finish the grueling Monaco street circuit race, finishing 11th and managing to not fall prey to the only too close barriers.

"Being ahead of the Jaguars on the grid was particularly satisfying when you think that their budget for the season is at least four times that of Minardi," Webber said. "We started the year determined to ruffle the feathers of some of the big boys and we've achieved that. We have to fight the war with the tools we have. Monaco is a great shop window in which to display your talents."

Minardi may be scorned for their back of the grid status but Webber is determined to get the team noticed. The Aussie is not under any illusion that Minardi can fight with the front runners but knows how hard everyone works.

"So, hopefully, my efforts will not have gone unnoticed," he remarked. "It will also have shown just what a great team Minardi really are. We know we are light years away from the front of the grid, but the guys in the team are simply amazing. I have never seen anything like it. Their dedication is simply beyond belief. They can put in 20-hour days, then still be back at the track the next morning to carry on. It's incredible."
