Jacques Villeneuve, despite his recent criticisms of his team mate, boss and Honda engines, is looking forward to racing the BAR005. Testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona this week, Villenueve is happy with the feel of the new car, although he thinks there's still a lot of work to be done.

"The new car is quick and easy to drive," he told his official website. "The lap times come easily. I haven't pushed it yet and was only able to do a few laps during the first day of testing. I don't know how the car will react yet once it is driven on the limit. We still have a lot of work to do, but I am looking forward to racing the car this season."

Villeneuve has questioned the safety of the HANS device that will be mandatory in F1 this year, suggesting it could in fact make a crash situation more dangerous. He has been wearing HANS in testing and said it makes it harder to see the track.

"The problem is that it's impossible to see the track!" He remarked. "We sit much lower in the car than before because of the HANS device, which means I can't see the exit of the corners."

The Canadian would obviously like to have a victory sometime soon but is reserved about the chances of it happening: "To win any race would be nice! We are not the front running team at the moment, so any race we can win will become the special one. I don't think we have the luxury to be able to choose which race track we will win at right now."
