The impression that Red Bull are untouchable this weekend in Barcelona was reinforced this morning in the final practice session before qualifying.

Sebastian Vettel set a time of 1m20.528, while team mate Mark Webber aborted his final run after setting the fastest first sector time.So the margin was 7/10ths of a second between them. It looks like being a titanic scrap between the pair for pole position once again as on their previous runs there was only 2/100ths between them.

A similar margin separated the McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button in 3rd and 4th places. While a resurgent Michael Schumacher was faster than Felipe Massa, which hints that Mercedes have managed to improve their car with the new updates. It is certainly more driveable for Schumacher who has been ahead of team mate Rosberg all weekend and looks much more confident in the car.

The Ferraris looked oversteery and have some work to do before qualifying, while Kubica's Renault and Sutil's Force Indai look a good bet for the top ten.

Sauber appear to have made a gain, while Williams seem to have fallen back on pace. Lotus again showed the progress of their new parts with Trulli a second off Liuzzi's Force India, but more representatively 1.7 secs off the Williams.

The McLaren was the fastest car through the speed trap once again, but only by 1km/h over the Ferrari indicating that the new F Duct rear wing on the Ferrari designed to reduce drag on the straights is working.
