McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne will not start the Bahrain Grand Prix after Honda discovered another problem with its Formula 1 engine.
The Japanese manufacturer identified a recurring MGU-H issue as the reason for Fernando Alonso's engine failure in qualifying.
That came after Vandoorne suffered two terminal MGU-H problems during Friday practice.
Honda found an issue with the engine ahead of the start of the race and could not remedy it in time for the start.
It is currently investigating the problem, but believes it is similar to the MGU-H issues that have plagued it all weekend.
The Belgian was set to start the grand prix from 17th. Teammate Fernando Alonso will start 15th.
