Engine change sends Vandoorne to back of grid
Stoffel Vandoorne has undergone a change of power unit, adding another 25 places of grid penalties to the five he had already incurred in the United States Grand Prix.
The grid will thus change once more, with Vandoorne having been 14th on the provisional grid.
He is one of six drivers to have incurred either power unit or impeding penalties, along with Max Verstappen (15 places), Nico Hulkenberg (20), Brendon Hartley (25), Kevin Magnussen (3) and Lance Stroll (3).
Honda said: "We detected an issue with Stoffel's MGU-H this morning and made the decision to change his PU," adding that the spec is a 3.8.
Vandoorne will be using his ninth V6, 11th MGU-H and turbo, and eighth MGU-K.
His control electronics and energy store are unchanged.
