TUERO OFFERS HIS HELMET TO THE PRESIDENT OF ARGENTINA MENEM

The young Esteban Tuero, currently the only one Argentinean driver in the Formula 1 Championship, was welcome yesterday evening by the President of the Republic of Argentina Carlos Saùl Menem, in his residencial estate at Olivos, 20 kms far from Buenos Aires. The driver offered his helmet to the President who particularly appreciated his gift both in virtue of his past experience as a rally racer, when he was Governor of la Rioja District, and in memory of his son Carlitos (died two years ago) who took part in the N Category Rally World Championship. Esteban is expected to come back to Italy next Monday, in order to get over the jet-lag and to carry on his physical training in view of the next race of the season, at Spa-Francorchamps. Buenos Aires, 20th August 1998
