Panasonic Toyota Racing is now midway through its four-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain, after Cristiano da Matta concluded two very productive days with the TF103 this afternoon. The Brazilian driver covered 135 laps in total - almost 640 kilometres - and allowed the team to successfully complete a large technical programme, mainly focused on set-up work and tyre evaluations.

Cristiano da Matta

"From the moment we started testing on Sunday morning, I found the car nice to drive here. It had a good balance right away, and quite a lot more grip overall compared to last week. Still, it was my first run on this circuit with the TF103 and, of course, we have some room left to play with set-up adjustments and in other areas, but I am pleased with the progress accomplished in just two days. It is always rewarding to see that this feeling is confirmed by some competitive lap times as well and I am very happy that I feel better and better every day in the car and within the team. "

The Panasonic Toyota Racing team will complete the second half of its four-day session at the Barcelona track with Olivier Panis taking over driving duties on Tuesday and Wednesday.
