According to AFP and other sources, Formula 1 team Prost Grand Prix is set to officially file for bankruptcy on Thursday, 22 November, with the bankruptcy court of Les Yvelines.

It appears that Alain Prost has already informed his 300 employees that he was going to file for bankruptcy on Thursday, due to a $ 27-million debt and the loss of several sponsor.

Despite the news, rumours are running wild about mysterious buyers and backers, among others, Saudi prince Al Waleed Bin Tahal and brewing giant Interbrew. No one at Prost team could be immediately contacted for comment on any of these rumours.
