Mercedes has released a series of teaser shots of its 2017 Formula 1 car, the W08.

The images of the new car, which will be fully unveiled at a launch event at Silverstone tomorrow, give little away but do show that Mercedes has kept the narrow rounded nose end design that it ran in 2015 and 2016, as opposed to the stubbed extensions seen so far on the new Williams, Sauber and Renault cars.

The team will conduct a filming day after the WO8 is revealed by Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, with a live feed of the launch available on the Mercedes website and its social media channels.

Mercedes is attempting to win a fourth straight double of drivers’ and constructors’ world titles, while Hamilton is seeking his own fourth championship. Bottas is chasing his first F1 win and has joined the Brackley-based team for the 2017 season as a replacement for last year’s world champion Nico Rosberg, who retired just five days after clinching the title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
