Singapore GP: Kvyat leads Raikkonen in FP2
Daniil Kvyat put Red Bull on top of the times in second practice for the Singapore Grand Prix, as a Mercedes did not feature in the top three.
Russian Kvyat set a best time of 1:46.142 using Pirelli's super-soft tyres to outpace Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen, second-quickest just 0.039s behind.
Red Bull showed it will be a contender this weekend, with Daniel Ricciardo finishing in third in one of the team's strongest outings of the season so far.
World champion Lewis Hamilton had to settle for fourth position as Mercedes had a subdued session, the Briton over three tenths of a second off the pace.
Teammate Nico Rosberg finished down in seventh position, behind Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari and Sergio Perez in the Force India.
Fernando Alonso put McLaren in the top 10 with the eighth-quickest time, Nico Hulkenberg (Force India) and Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso) completing the 10 fastest runners.
Kvyat was the early pace-setter, the Russian trying to make up for the time lost in FP1, but the session was red-flagged just five minutes after the start.
Will Stevens lost control of his Manor at Turn 11, making contact with the wall and forcing the session to be stopped while his car, which did not appear to be heavily damaged, was recovered.
After the restart, Ricciardo took to the top of the times with a lap of 1:48.103, but soon Raikkonen set the best time of the weekend yet - 1:47.659 - to put the Ferrari in first position.
There was a brief yellow flag period when Carlos Sainz suffered a puncture after brushing the wall, but the Spaniard managed to return to the pits without further drama.
Hamilton set a new fastest time - 1:47.633 - at the 26-minute mark, before Raikkonen switched to the super-soft tyres and returned to the top with a 1:46.281 despite a mistake on his flying lap.
Hamilton's first run on the softer compound was wasted when he overshot the first corner, but he moved into second place on the following lap, some three tenths of a second behind Raikkonen.
Ricciardo fell just 0.075 seconds short on Raikkonen's time with his run on super-softs, as the top five were separated by just three tenths at the halfway point of the session.
But the Australian's Red Bull teammate Kvyat went even quicker, setting the fastest time by 0.039 seconds, relegating Raikkonen to second.
Alexander Rossi had limited running after his FP1 crash, his Manor team needing to replace his car's gearbox.
The American joined the action with 20 minutes to go and managed nine laps, finishing in 19th ahead of Stevens, who did not return to the track after his crash.
