Michael Schumacher recently recalled his first ever Formula One drive, testing the Jordan Ford 191 at Silverstone in 1991 in preparation for the Belgian Grand Prix. The German, who has since won five World Championship titles, remembered how he thought perhaps the car was too powerful for him to cope with.

"The first time I drove it, that day in Silverstone in August 1991, I was just impressed with its power as I was not used to drive F1 cars, and actually in the first lap I thought that this is too much for me to handle," Schumacher told J Magazine, the Jordan team's official publication.

"I also remember the Qualifying at the race in Spa when we managed to set up the car so perfectly that I raced flat out through Blanchimont which at those days was not too easy -- a wonderful feeling. It is clear that I will always have special memories with this car."

Schumacher spent just one race with Jordan before moving to Benetton, with whom he won his first two World Championship titles in 1994 and '95. His current Ferrari team mate Rubens Barrichello also began his F1 career with Jordan, in 1993, as did ex-Ferrari driver Eddie Irvine.
