Just hours after celebrating coming second in Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher was already on a flight to the United States. The four times world champion has good cause to be in a good mood: a second place after starting from third on the grid and the lead in the F1 Drivers' Championship, as well as last Saturday's celebrations when he reached a landmark in his career as a Ferrari driver.

Michael had this to say about competing in 100 grands prix for the Scuderia: "Working for such a long time together shows great mutual trust. So for it has been a great time and I am looking forward to the next few years together."

Before putting on his dinner jacket and heading off for the traditional black tie evening in Monaco, the German said: "Every often, even a second place can be very important and knowing that the Ferrari was the quickest car on the track shows there is no reason to be pessimistic. Basically, the most important thing is to consolidate the lead in the Championship."
