Nick Heidfeld completed a successful three-day test for Team Sauber Petronas in Valencia today, setting the fifth fastest time of 1m 13.725s and covering 83 laps. As a result, the team was able to gather further critical data that will be used in the new Sauber Petronas C22 currently being built for the 2003 season.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering):

"We had an extremely good day. This morning the car ran like clockwork and we were able to make the most of an incident-free session to complete our aerodynamic program. In the afternoon we switched our attention to a tyre program with experimental and development tyres on behalf of Bridgestone which proved productive."

Nick Heidfeld:

"I really enjoyed getting back in a Formula I car this week. We have had three good days here in Valencia gathering data for the new car. Having seen all the work going on with the C22 in Hinwil I am feeling very excited about our prospect for the new season. "
