Nick Heidfeld continued driving for Team Sauber Petronas in Valencia today as part of the final series of test and preparation for the start of the 2003 Formula I season. In the course of 46 laps he recorded the seventh fastest time of 1.m 14.336 seconds.

Nick Heidfeld will continue drive tomorrow before the test next week in Jerez de la Frontera - Spain. (5 - 7 December, 2002 - December 5-6 with Nick Heidfeld, December 7 with Heinz-Harald Frentzen)

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering):

"We almost completed our program this morning which comprised working on miscellaneous electronic systems. We lost some time after having to clean up the car when Nick spun. This afternoon we lost additional time because of several red flags. We will continue early tomorrow our program of aerodynamic. Then, we will conclude the test with some tyre work for Bridgestone."

Nick Heidfeld:

"There was not any damage to the car after my spin and we were able to continue the program and have another productive day to continue gathering data to be ready for next season."
