Nick Heidfeld concluded Team Sauber Petronas' three-day test in Valencia, Spain, today, but his running was interrupted at lunchtime by very heavy rainfall which lasted for the rest of the day. He has recorded the sixth fastest lap time of 1m 13.14s and he completed 96 laps during the day.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering):

"Initially this morning Nick worked on consolidating the data that we accrued with Felipe in the last two days, then we did further work with Bridgestone for future development before trying the tyres that we will us in Austria next week. We were also able to do more launch control work and a programme of damper development aimed at improving traction out of slow corners. Until the weather broke it was another satisfactory day. This afternoon, however, we took advantage of the wet conditions to do further work on our launch control."

Nick Heidfeld:

"It took me a while to adapt to Felipe's car this morning and we did a lot of work on set-up. It's disappointing that the rain came this afternoon, because we were not able to improve any times. But overall driving a total of 96 laps all day, makes me think that the car is very reliable and I'm happy with the work that we did."

Weather: Dry in the morning, rain in the afternoon
Temperature: Air 14,60; Track 21,20
Distance: 96 laps, 384.480 kilometres
Track Length: 4.005 kilometres
