Team Sauber Petronas completed its three-day test at Italy's Autodromo internazionale del Mugello, today, prior to the Grand Prix of Europe at the Nuerburgring next week end. Felipe Massa took over the driving from Nick Heidfeld and in the course of 96 laps set a best time of 1m24.514s.

Giampaolo Dall'ara (Head of Test Team):

"This morning we completed our aerodynamic and mechanical set-up work in such good time that we were able to begin testing Bridgestone tires for the Nuerburgring before the lunch break. We continued this program in the afternoon and for some reason we worked even more efficiently than the previous two days. Overall this three-day test has been extremely productive and encouraging."

Felipe Massa:

"The car was very good today and I am very pleased that we were able to finish our program. I was a little surprised to find that the tires that we will use for the Nuerburgring are soft compound. On a surface that is as abrasive as Mugello's they wore quicker than expected. But this will be of no concern next week because they were designed with the smooth surface of the Nuerburgring in mind. They will be very good in Germany."
