Sauber F1 Team has been beavering away on a series of videos for its You Tube channel which allow fans to see inside an F1 car - literally!
They have cut an F1 car in half and with various technical staff and drivers to explain, they show some key aspects of the car. Nico Hulkenberg shows in cross section how his seat fits, for example, while even fine details like timing transponders are illustrated. Users can click on areas of the car they wish to learn about and a fresh You Tube window plays a video on it.
All the F1 teams have got active on You Tube in the past year as the American tech giant pushes into a new and exciting territory. Some teams are committed to producing a significant amount of content.
You Tube also has a motorsport channel it supports POLE POSITION P1, which produces regular F1 and motorsport content.
However despite its progress with the F1 teams, You Tube has not managed to make any headway with Bernie Ecclestone, the commercial rights holder of the sport, who controls all the action footage.
