Team Sauber Petronas continued its three-day test at the Circuito Permanente de Jerez today. Nick Heidfeld covered 100 laps in chassis 05 to set a best time of 1:19.235. Tomorrow Heinz-Harald Frentzen will take over the driving to complete the test.

Rémi Decorzent (Race Engineer):

"Nick has done a good job and run a lot of laps which gave us valuable data. Our work today basically comprised aerodynamic tests and the assessment of the downforce levels in Indianapolis and Suzuka. In the afternoon we also conducted a tyre programme to select the most suitable compound for Suzuka. Tomorrow Heinz-Harald will help us to verify the gathered data. We will combine this work with long-runs focused on the evaluation of the tyre performance."

Nick Heidfeld
100 laps, 442.800 kilometres
